This town is awesome! If you are not an avid outdoor lover, especially in the winter, Bozeman is not for you. In the summer, there are endless trails and camp spots while in the winter you can find most locals up at one of our ski resorts.
I’m a Bozeman native. When I was born, 19th was still a dirt road… and considered out of town. It’s been hard to see it change but I’m glad to see so many new people enjoying life here. It makes me smile when out of towners or people who have just moved here say how nice everyone in Bozeman is - sure we definitely have people who are passionate and mean about keeping it the same - but they’re just nervous Bozeman will lose it’s charm. But I think as long as charming people keep moving here we’ll be fine. Please keep filling Bozeman with extra polite, fun people - we are south of Canada… so let’s keep up the good work, eh?
Bozeman is one of the few true communities remaining in the US. It's small enough that I've really grown an amazing community of friends and pseudo-family here. One of the best parts of Bozeman is it's easy access to the outdoors all around it. However, as a person of color it has an extreme lack of diversity, and because of this it was initially really difficult to find people to pursue relationships with. I think Bozeman is a very quickly growing town, and due to it being home to Montana State university I'm optimistic on it having more diversity in the future in all ways (race, religion, sexuality).
