Boston Reviews
Rating 4.17 out of 5 895 reviews
Boston is a fantastic city with lots to offer. It has lots of history, beautiful architecture, plenty of outdoor activities and some of the greatest restaurants in the world. It’s very easy to get around the city by foot and taking public transportation. That said, if you’re able to take the T to and from work and have a supermarket within walking distance of where you live, you probably won’t need to own a car. Traffic in Boston is heavy, especially during rush hour, and parking can be very expensive and hard to come by. Boston also has a ton of beautiful parks. While it may lack some vibrancy compared to cities such as NYC and Chicago, it still offers plenty of nightlife and entertainment. Overall, Boston can be a great city for young professionals, families and even retirees. It definitely offers a slower pace compared to NYC, but you won’t be bored in Boston either. If you can afford living in Boston, I strongly recommend it!
I have lived in Boston for many years and love it! It's walkable with lots of green space. The real estate market is particularly challenging right now, and the biggest concern I have seen with people moving here.
I attended university in Boston and have been living here for almost 4 years. I met some really great people at my school and the neighboring universities. There are great restaurants scattered throughout the city and there are a lot areas that are pretty to walk through (Back Bay, the Charles River Esplanade, Beacon Hill). The public transportation system could use a lot of improvement however. I can't bring myself to rely on the bus system (which is never on time), and the subway trains move pretty slow or close often due to repair work. However, it is really easy to get to know the city well, find your way around, and discover your favorite spots.
