Drifted so far into this one that I didn't want to come out. Seamlessly absorbing.
With a double shot of Shabaka. Can't say fairer than that.
Loved the Jasmine Myra tune. And Rosie Lowe definitely needs further investigation.
(Footnote: Saw Foat and Masin perform that album live in London last year with the added bonus of Daniel Casimir and Moses Boyd in as the rhythm section. Wondered how they were going to make all that subdued and communal mood-sculpting work onstage, but it was broken up by interludes where everyone got an unaccompanied solo. Magical music making.)
