Get ready to start your engines for the latest instalment of Netflix ’s high octane sport documentary, as Formula 1: Drive to Survive returns for its sixth season. The hit docuseries is back on the streaming platform later this month as it goes behind-the scenes of the action from the 2023 FIA Formula 1 World Championship.

The 10-part series offers never-before-seen footage and interviews from the sport’s biggest names. Its latest outing will see 10 teams and 20 drivers vie for the title in 23 high-speed races, with Red Bull eyeing a third consecutive championship for Max Verstappen.

The official synopsis reads: “Offering unprecedented access, this new season will once again take fans behind the scenes to witness first-hand how the drivers and teams prepare to battle it out for the 2023 FIA Formula 1 World Championship.”

Drive to Survive is executive-produced by Oscar-winner James Gay-Rees (Amy, Senna) and Paul Martin (Diego Maradona) for Box to Box Films. The series has been a hit for Netflix since it debuted in 2019, with its fifth season reaching Netflix’s top 10 shows in 47 countries.

It spent three weeks as one of the streamer’s most-watched series in the UK and earned an 83 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes. Elsewhere, there’s plenty of other sports action heading to Netflix in the coming weeks, including the live stream of its special one-night tennis exhibition match The Netflix Slam – headlined by Rafael Nadal and World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz – on March 4.

This is closely followed by the second season of golf docuseries Full Swing on March 6. But until then, here’s when Formula 1: Drive to Survive season six is released in the UK and what time the episodes will drop.

Formula 1: Drive to Survive season six will premiere on Friday, February 23. All 10 episodes will be available to watch from 8am.

Drive to Survive fans can currently bag a free Netflix subscription as part of Sky's one-month free trial, or save £84 with Sky’s Sky Glass and Netflix bundle for £14 for the first three months.
