Keisha Buchanan admitted that she and the rest of the Sugababes were terrified nobody would support them at Glastonbury Festival.

Security at the event were forced to shut down an entry on Friday, June 28, after fans of the band asked for it to appear on the Pyramid stage - an unexpected success for Keisha.

Speaking to Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard this Monday, July 1, on the set of This Morning members of the girl group spoke about the swarm of happy supporters as Keisha admitted they were "always super nervous."

The hitmaker said: "We are always super nervous especially when we are going out to perform because we think like is anyone going to show up? But it was really nice. We had the best time. It doesn’t get old for us. We are so grateful."

The 39-year-old added: "To get the response we have had has been incredible we don’t take it for granted. We got on a plane as soon as we got off the stage and went to Marrakech." This comes after Keisha joined Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy on stage last Friday, two years after the band's last performance at Glastonbury.

But upon their arrival fans of the Sugababes wreaked havoc at the West Holts stage, where the girl group performed to a jam-packed crowd. Unfortunately, security were forced to opt for a "one in one out" system due to a flurry of admirers rushing to the stage, which has capacity for 35,000 people.

Back in 2022,the Sugababes took to the Avalon Stage which has a capacity of 3,000 people, but there again, the authorities restricted entry to the concert following safety concerns. This has led on fan to theorise that the girl group may be allowed to grace the Pyramid stage by bosses on X, otherwise known as Twitter: "Never seen a crowd like Sugababe at West Holts today. Was there in 2022 when they closed Avalon and same thing happened today. Not sure I'll see a better show this weekend. Pyramid stage surely next."

Music critics, in the likes of Mark Savage and Pete Paphides, were also blocked from being able to see the set. Pete notably told his X followers: "They’ve closed the entire area around the West Holts stage because of the amount of people who want to see Sugababes. Same happened for their Avalon stage set in 2022. It really needs to be more widely acknowledged that they’re one of the toppermost adored groups of their era."

Mark jumped in: "Once again, my ambitions to see Sugababes at Glastonbury have been thwarted. It’s one-in and one-out at West Holts right now, and the queue is huge. They should do the legend slot next year."
