Gilmore Girls, which ran for seven seasons from 2000 to 2007, made its Netflix debut in 2014. The show initially aired on the WB before transitioning to the CW for its final season.

The brainchild of Amy Sherman-Palladino, the series was lauded for its sharp dialogue and appeal across generations. The cult-favourite drama was brought back to life for a four-part Netflix miniseries in 2016.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life saw Lauren, Kelly, Alexis and Luke Danes actor Scott Patterson return to their roles. Each episode tracks the characters through one of the four seasons of the year, nearly ten years after the original series concluded.

Their escapades, dramas, romances, laughs and traumas are documented - showing that while our favourite trio may be a bit older, they're not necessarily any wiser.

The mini-series was met with acclaim from fans and critics alike, with review site Rotten Tomatoes' consensus stating: "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life provides a faithful and successful revival of the quirky, sweet, and beloved series fans fell in love with over a decade ago."

All seven season of Gilmore Girls, and Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, are available to stream now on Netflix
