TV and film lovers can sign up to Disney+ for just £1.99 a month thanks to an eye-catching new deal, but it won't be around for long. The streaming service from The House of Mouse has launched its 'Epic Movies, Epic Offer' promotion that's better than half price, allowing members to access its stellar TV and film library for the equivalent of just 50p a week.

With this new offer, new and returning customers can sign up to the Disney+ Standard with Ads plan and secure the £1.99 a month rate for three months. But you'll need to be quick to grab this deal before it ends on Thursday, March 14.

The £1.99 deal allows members to stream the latest films and shows in full HD 1080p on two devices simultaneously. After the three-month promotional period, the Disney+ Standard with Ads plan will auto-renew at the current monthly retail price – which is currently £4.99 a month – at which point you're free to cancel.

If you're worried about adverts interrupting your viewing, Disney+ has said its 'with Ads' plan will only show around four minutes of ads or less for every hour of TV – less than on terrestrial channels. What's more, ads will only play before a film starts and not during.

With streaming services increasing their prices, this is the perfect way to save money while still enjoying the best TV content. Disney+ boasts a stellar library of films and TV shows, chock full of timeless classics and new hits from the likes of Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, National Geographic and more.

Disney+ is the UK home of blockbuster shows like award-winning dramedy The Bear and Ryan Reynolds' Welcome to Wrexham – both of which are back for a third season later this year – and fantasy-adventure series Renegade Nell, the latest project from Happy Valley creator Sally Wainwright. Plus, Emma Stone's Oscar-nominated Poor Things will launch on Disney+ on March 7.

Both critics and fans are raving about Shōgun, the sprawling samurai saga that has been hailed a "masterpiece" and has drawn comparisons to Game of Thrones. But if Taylor Swift is more your thing, the Disney+ £1.99 deal means you can catch her new and extended concert movie, The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version), when it premieres on March 15.

Star Wars and Marvel fans have hundreds of hours of content to enjoy with Disney+, which offers the entire Star Wars saga and most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch, The Marvels and X-Men '97.

If you’d prefer to stream without the occasional ad, Disney+ also offers the ad-free Standard and Premium plans at £7.99 and £10.99 a month respectively. There’s no hidden cost with a monthly Disney+ subscription and it can be cancelled at any time, while customers can get the equivalent of two months free with an annual subscription.

New and returning customers can subscribe to Disney+ Standard with Ads for its Epic Movies, Epic Offer at £1.99/month for three months from February 29 to March 14 2024.

Alternatively, Sky is offering a one-month free trial of its Sky TV, Sky Stream, Netflix and Discovery+ bundle, while also slashing its Sky Glass and Netflix package to £14 a month for three months.
