Most of us like a day out to the forest.

However, many Brits have been left amazed after heading to what has been branded the 'UK's most magical forest'.

Puzzlewood is an ancient woodland site and tourist attraction based near Coleford in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, England.

Back in the 19th centre, a mile of pathways were laid down to provide access to the woods, meaning visitors now can enjoy picturesque walks. The area contains strange rock formations, secret caves and ancient trees, and a confusing maze of paths.

As well as being popular amongst nature lovers, film and TV fans might enjoy a day out to Puzzlewood due to the fact it's been a filming location on some of the biggest movies and shows around. These include Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Doctor Who and Merlin.

It's also great for a day out for families, according to TikTok user @dayoutwiththekids, who shared a video all about the forest on its account.

The post is captioned: "Puzzlewood is an amazing day out this summer... this nature walk was featured in movies such as Star Wars, Merlin, The Secret Garden and Jack the Giant Slayer!"

The clip sees the social media user take viewers all around the forest as they add: "This place has been named the UK's most magical forest. It's said to have inspired some of the most famous writers.

"Enjoy walking through the forest trails with twisted trees, bridges, lookout points, interesting and unusual rock formations, secret caves, and ancient trees."

They added: "This family day out is Puzzlewood and it's location in the Forest of Dean. It's open daily until the end of October, so it's the perfect summer day out with the kids."

People seemed to love the video, with it racking up hundreds of likes, as one person exclaimed: "That's so cool, I need to go there."
