The Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl championship rings, which were presented to quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce and their teammates on Thursday, are causing quite a stir. The bling, celebrating their 25-22 triumph over the San Francisco 49ers, is said to be worth a whopping $40,000 and boasts an impressive 529 diamonds, 38 rubies and a total of 14.8 carats of gems, according to ESPN.

But it's not just the sparkle that's got people talking. The ring features a quirky nod to "Tom and Jerry," representing the Chiefs' game-winning play in overtime.

However, eagle-eyed fans spotted a gaffe on the underside of the ring the Miami Dolphins are mistakenly listed as the AFC's No. 7 seed, despite being the sixth seed when they faced off against the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, where they lost 26-7.

Social media has been abuzz with reactions to the error. One X user quipped, "Here's hoping the real rings have the correct seeding for the Dolphins," while another joked, "Will gladly take any of the rings after you guys correct Miami's seed (6th)."

It's unclear whether the blunder is present on all 400 rings distributed to players, coaches, and staff, or if it was just an error in the design previews. Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk reports that at least one of the actual rings contains the typo.

The Chiefs are no strangers to amusing mistakes; this incident quickly reminded fans of the iconic 1996 Snickers advert where a groundskeeper mistakenly spells out "Chefs" instead of "Chiefs". The commercial was famously recreated 27 years later with Kansas City's own head coach Andy Reid starring.

Despite the glaring error on the ring, the celebration at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art wasn't affected. During the Super Bowl LVIII victory party, Mahomes expressed his determination to chase a third consecutive title.

Speaking to the press, Mahomes reflected on the previous season's challenges and his future ambitions: "The first thing I think of is how great last season was and the adversity we dealt with," he said. "Then I'm going to think about how I can get another one for the pinkie finger. It's going to take a lot of hard work [to win three straight titles]. It's never been done before for a good reason. It takes a special group of guys, and I think we've got that group."

Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt has shared his thoughts on the team's prospects, remarking: "It's an incredible challenge. It's never been done in the National Football League, which tells you all you need to know about it. It's hard to go back-to-back, and from what I've seen, they're really eager to get started on this campaign."

"They believe they have a good shot at it. Obviously, you've got to have a lot of things go your way. If we can accomplish it, it will be something that will solidify this time period of Chiefs football."
