University Challenge is notorious for bringing together the brightest brains in Britain to compete against one another to work out once and for all which university is the most intelligent. The questions are seriously tough, leaving the majority of people completely stumped, and the show is known for iconic moments such as 'hapax legomenon', which was quickly made into a meme.

Former host Jeremy Paxman had been at the forefront of the show since 1994, making him the longest-serving quizmaster on UK TV so far. Jeremy decided to step down after his Parkinson's diagnosis, and he said: "I've had a blast hosting this wonderful series for nearly 29 years", according to the Metro.

But unlike optical illusions and brainteasers where the more you practice, the better you can get at them, general knowledge questions are much tougher - and they seemed to be especially brutal on University Challenge. So, do you want to have a go at one of the toughest questions from the show to see whether you'd cut it as a contestant?

Throughout his 29 years on the show, Paxman didn't go easy on his guests and was well known for his clashes with contestants, leaving people uncomfortably chuckling at their tellies. But can you answer the following question?

If one is the second row of Pascal's triangle, what is the seventh row?

If you need a minute to think about it, we don't blame you - it's seriously tough. But the answer is coming right up, so if you're still thinking about it, don't scroll any further. Hint: Pascal's triangle is the triangular array of numbers that begins with 1 on the top and with 1's running down the two sides of a triangle. Each new number lies between two numbers and below them, and its value is the sum of the two numbers above it.

The answer is: One, six, 15, 20, 15, six, one.
