Luckily, a experts at theory test app The Complete Theory Test Kit have shared the ultimate hack to make sure you can reverse into a parking bay perfectly each time.

In the footage, the expert can be seen putting the car into position, and then he selecting reverse gear so that the cars behind can see the warning light. Next, he checked all around and the back of the car to make sure there were no people or vehicles in the way.

He then revealed his hack, which is "reference point" stickers which he put on his door - roughly in line with the door handles. Drivers who are trying to reverse park should get their sticker level with the white lines of the bay on the road.

At this point, he did another safety check around the vehicle, and as soon as he started reversing, he steered all the way to the left at "full lock". While slowly reversing you should continue to check your mirrors and any blind spots.

Once the vehicle is straight, in line with the white lines of the bay, you should straighten the wheels and continuing to reverse, while checking behind you.

When you're nearly in place, check the back and side windows to make sure you're not too close to the curb. The expert also has a reference point that tells him that he's the perfect distance from the curb.

The reference point is located in the back window behind his right shoulder. When he saw the curb coming in line with his door handle, he stopped.

While the driver recommended using stickers to begin with, he then said you'd be able to memorise them after a while, which is handy for if you're using several cars.

The video has now been seen by almost 400k people, with many sharing their own tips One person said: "I use my shoulder and line it with the middle of a bay and then turn the wheel right around and park, works every time."

Another added: "I use the passenger door opener as reference."
