As most of the UK basked in the early summer sunshine over the weekend, the sweet smell of BBQ cooking filled the air. Barbecues are synonymous with the warmer weather and even celebrities enjoy a spot of al fresco cooking from time to time.

National treasure David Beckham took to Instagram to share a series of posts showing him firing up the 'barbie' in his Cotswolds home. Eagle-eyed followers noticed that his grill of choice is the Ninja Woodfire Electric BBQ Grill one of the latest additions to the brand's highly sought-after cooking range.

But while the top-of-the-range app-controlled gadget has an RRP of £349.99, shoppers could cook fresh for less with the best-selling Ninja Woodfire Electric BBQ Grill & Smoker now reduced to £279.99 - a tasty saving of £70.

Famous for their lust-worthy indoor appliances, Ninja now sells a selection of outdoor grills that let bbq-lovers grill, smoke and even air fry their food with authentic smoky flavours.

One delighted customer said its "beats a real barbecue" adding "Absolutely amazing. Best buy ever. Using for apartment...no BBQs allowed. This is honestly superb."

A second left a more detailed review saying "Absolutely brilliant. Blown away by how well it smokes pork shoulder and quickly serves up bbq on the grill. Yet to use airfry mode but will be a nice addition for camping. Had 8 bbqs in 6 days come rain or shine. Solid quality construction. Quick delivery and missing cover was dispatched at 4pm and arrived with the post at 11am the next day. Great customer service. I've been telling everyone I know to buy one."

A third simply added "Fantastic piece of kit, without doubt the best bbq food ever cooked, absolutely everyone was astonished by the stunning food."

A few users were, however, concerned that fast cooking times led to excess charring, with one saying "Just purchased the Ninja bbq cooked twice on it, my food is charing too quickly. 1st time lid down 2nd time lid open, cooked on low."

Ninja is also currently offering £50 off the Ninja Woodfire Pro XL Electric BBQ Grill & Smoker, now on sale for £349.99.

Alternatively, Amazon is selling the Andrew James Electric BBQ Grill for £129.99.
