Hair is personal to everyone, If you want to improve the way your locks looks and feels, it can seem like a never-ending battle of trying different viral products and trying to work out what suits you most.

A hairdresser, who has done the job her whole life, with "experience of helping people" get the hair they dream of shared "hints and tips" of products that "don't cost a lot", but that can really help you to "recover your hair".

Toni, who refers to herself on TikTok as a 'hair loss bestie' used the hashtag 'Over 60s', but of course, these tips apply to anybody trying to add extra oomph to their locks.

Toni said that she wanted people to "fall back in love with their hair again", and there were three things that you could try.

The first thing she recommended was a clarifier. She said it's "fantastic" to get rid of "build-up" in the hair. Toni said it's especially good "if you've got extensions or you're trying to thicken up your roots".

But what exactly is a clarifier? According to Kenra Professional, it's: "A deep cleanser that uses heavier surfactants -the soap-like ingredients - than regular shampoos to eliminate grease, product residue, and impurities from your scalp. In other words, it's a heavy-duty cleanser you can use to reset your hair every once and a while."

The second tip she gave was using a "hair scrub", as they're "amazing". She told people to "research" them, as they're "bloody brilliant".

According to Healthline: "Scrubs, both physical and chemical, slough off the product buildup, excess oil, and dead skin cells that shampoo isn't able to."

Her final tip was to "keep your hair clean at all costs", saying it was a "really good piece of advice". Of course, this includes shampooing when your hair is looking lacklustre.

People flocked to the comments to thank Toni for her advice, saying that they were going to "try these", and also admitting they'd "never used a clarifier".
