How Does an Each-Way Bet Work on the Grand National?

An each-way bet is your chance to cover both the win and a place when betting on a horse. You double your stakes, but then you also have a chance to be paid out if your horse finishes in the places, so in the Grand National’s case, in the top 6 or 7.
