Hollywood actor and Russian citizen Steven Seagal and UK politician George Galloway have been seen playing tug-of-war with a liger at a zoo in Dubai.

Photos of the pair have emerged online that show the duo wrestling over a rope through the bars of a cage with a tiger-lion hybrid in Dubai. The video was filmed after the pair were treated to a tour of the Fame Park private zoo.

In the video clip, both Steven and George can be seen getting pulled in a rough manner towards the animal pen. But they gave up and the animal won the tug-of-war when Steven let go of the rope.

The liger is a hybrid offspring of a male lion and a tigress, or female tiger. The liger has parents in the same genus but of different species.

The duo were then handed a sign that said "we lost" after their tug-of-war game with the Liger, with them posing for a peculiar photo together. But that wasn't the only strange snap from their outing, because Steven and George posed for several more together.

One photo saw Steven feeding a bear while holding a sloth. And another saw a giant snake stretching across both Steven and George.

The Mirror has contacted PETA for comment.

Both Steven and George have something in common - they admire Vladimir Putin. George has previously been dubbed "Putin's court clown", while Steven has publicly shared gushing posts.

Last October [2022] Steven addressed his 480,000 Instagram followers when he wished Vladimir Putin a happy birthday. Taking to his page, he recorded a video where he said: "Today is President Putin’s birthday. I just think that we are now living in very, very trying times. He is one of the greatest world leaders and one the greatest presidents in the world."

He went on: "And I am really hoping and praying that he gets the support and the love and the respect that he needs. And that all the tribulations that are going on now will be over soon, and we will be living in a world of peace."

The American-born actor and martial artist received his Russian citizenship on November 3, 2016.

According to government spokesman Dmitry Peskov at the time: "He [Steven] was asking quite insistently and over a lengthy period to be granted citizenship."
