Sabrina Carpenter is asking fans to back off after criticism involving her brand partnerships.

The pop sweetheart posed for risque pictures in a SKIMS campaign which spurred backlash from Swifties. The fanbase adopted her after she opened for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour. However, SKIMS is owned by Kim Kardashian who is a famous foe of Taylor herself. Due to Taylor and Sabrina's tight friendship, it left fans shocked and concerned.

However, Sabrina is unbothered. She told Rolling Stone: "As much as people want to believe you’re tuned into every little thing, I’m not because I’m constantly working. In that scenario, I’ve been very, very communicative with her about that situation, and I just love her so much and support her till the end. So it was no weirdness for me, but I know people will just say things because that’s all they have time to do."

Sabrina isn't the only friend of Taylor who partnered with SKIMS. Ice Spice, who featured on a version of Taylor's song Karma, also did a collaboration with the brand. Lana Del Rey, who features on Snow on the Beach, was another figure who worked with Taylor's enemy.

Taylor recently made it clear that there is still Bad Blood between herself and Kim. After all, the socialite has yet to issue any sort of public apology for the hate train she ran against the pop star in 2016 and there's no indication that one was made in private, either. Taylor was branded a "snake" among other insults after Kim posted a video where Taylor seemed to give consent to Kanye West in regards to releasing a song with offensive lines about her. As a result of public backlash, Taylor stayed out of the limelight for over a year, not even being photographed.

Years later, an unedited version of the video was released which cleared Taylor's name and showed that the Kardashian clan was lying. When Taylor released her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, she included a song called thanK you aIMee which seemed to imply they weren't on good terms.

While the song technically didn't name anyone, fans quickly connected the dots that the capitalisation of the letters spelled out Kim's name. In the song, Taylor seems to ironically write: "I changed your name and any real defining clues / And one day, your kid comes home singin' / A song that only us two is gonna know is about you."
