Kim Kardashian has been defended by one of her former co-workers after she was slammed by trolls for "forcing" her daughter into the limelight.

The criticism came after Kim's 10-year-old daughter North West featured on one of Kanye West's new songs. The youngster made her music debut on the track Talking from her dad's new album Vultures 1.

While Kim and Kanye are very proud of their daughter, some fans weren't so sure and thought North is too young for fame. "She's literally a kid, she's going to end up like Britney Spears," one slammed while another said: "It's just really sad." PR expert Ryan McCormick, however, has jumped to Kim's defence.

Ryan, who previously worked with Kim on a PR campaign, said she's simply looking out for her daughter. He suggested she has a positive experience of fame and wants to give that to her kids.

Speaking to The Mirror, he said: "Kris Jenner has stated that she feels guilty for pushing her children into a life of fame. She also said she feels bad that she brought this element to their lives.

"Having experienced this first-hand, why would Kim Kardashian allow the same thing to happen to her own kids? It could very well be that she views the experience as a positive one."

Ryan pointed out how Kim has managed to rack up a net worth of $1.7billion (£1.3billion). The PR expert suggested Kim will want this level of comfort for her kids.

He told us: "Her fame and notoriety has come from a number of ways including allowing her life to be an open book. Wealth and fame can open a lot of doors and I'm sure Kim wants her children to have the best life possible.

"I can't fault her for laying the foundation for her kids to attain great success. Some parents keep images of their children completely off social media but, Kardashian is clearly not one of them. She's doing what she thinks is best."
