Taylor Swift fans have been desperate to hear if she will be making a surprise cameo at Glastonbury Festival - despite not being named on the original line-up.

The pop star is currently in the UK as part of her 21-month long Eras Tour. She is yet to make an appearance at the iconic Worthy Farm but that could soon change as many fans are hoping she will make a surprise performance at this year's event - taking place across this weekend.

Glastonbury already has a star-studded line up with headline acts Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA, with Shania Twain performing in the Legends slot. Yet, every year a handful of huge stars pop up in the secret set slots. Last year, the Foo Fighters rocked up to play their greatest hits with past secret performances have including Lady Gaga, Pulp, George Ezra and Mumford and Sons.

Fans had been hoping for Taylor to make a scheduled performance at this year's Glastonbury as they noticed she'd kept June 30 free. However, she eventually announced she would be performing in Dublin that night instead. As part of her Eras Tour, Taylor's show is taking place in the Irish capital across Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend.

Yet many are still hoping she won't be fully ruled out of Glastonbury as Dublin is just a short private jet away from Glastonbury. Other acts tipped to make a surprise Glastonbury performance include Kasabian. The Leicester indie-rock band have played the iconic festival five times already and their latest album is set to drop next week.

American band The Killers have also been among those rumours to do a secret set due to a gap in their touring schedule. They are in between shows in Glasgow and London during the Glastonbury weekend and have performed at the festival four times already. Kings of Leon are in the UK for their BST Hyde Park show on Sunday June 30, with fans thinking they could also stop off at Worthy Farm.

It has been 20 years since the Sex On Fire hitmakers first appeared at Glastonbury and were last at the festival as headliners in 2008. Green Day have only just performed at Isle of Wight Festival as a 'festival exclusive', but many fans are hoping they will swing by and make their Glastonbury debut.

The XX could make a dramatic comeback as part of a secret set. Drummer and keyboard player Jamie XX is headlining the Woodies stage on Friday night, while vocalist and guitarist Romy Madley Croft is playing a DJ set on the same day. Romy confirmed earlier this year the band were back together in the studio, so could make a return to stage together at Glastonbury.

They have previously performed twice at the iconic event, first in 2010 and then in 2017. Other artists who have been rumoued to make a surprise performance include Blur, Glass Animals, Interpol, Liam Gallagher, Pulp, Tame Impala, Vampire Weekend and Weezer.
