Actress Martine McCutcheon has given fans a glimpse inside her incredible home transformation after giving her entrance hall and living room a timeless monochrome makeover

Martine McCutcheon has shown off her amazing home makeover, including a stylish living room.

The Love Actually star, 47, who recently spoke about her hidden health struggles, shared a video on her Instagram page of the impressive project, revealing a beautiful black and white space. She showed fans her grand hallway with its striking black and white checkerboard tiles as she opened a set of glass doors separating it from the living area.

The bright and spacious area is painted white, with a black radiator and framed picture adding to the black and white theme. The lovely living room matches the entrance area's vibe, featuring a lot of neutral colours and textures, and herringbone flooring throughout.

There is also a big cream sofa at one end of the room, adorned with patterned cushions and a throw. A black industrial-style floor lamp stands behind the sofa, perfect for cosy evenings spent reading or watching TV.

A modern coffee table decorated with a bunch of white roses, a candle and a Kate Moss book helps to break up the space, reports OK!. Martine McCutcheon has shown off her stylish living room, complete with a cosy cream armchair and a leafy plant. She wrote on social media: "They say it's all about the finer details and a beautiful finish and I'm so happy to share our entrance hallway and living room with you!

"She wanted her home to be simple but special for her family. She said: "I wanted something that wasn't too try hard but also felt special and inspiring for the family too. For me, I realised less was more and I wanted quality over quantity. Simplicity with beautiful pieces seem to work for me best."

She thanked @corstonarchitecturaldetail for their help, saying: "I have to thank @corstonarchitecturaldetail for being a dream to liaise with - Nothing was too much trouble! All our beautiful lighting, switches and sockets really add that touch of understated elegance."

The actress, who recently talked about experiencing perimenopause, shared some details about her home's fixtures and fittings. She said: "We chose the Claremont medium wall lights, bronze switches and bronze black sockets throughout," she explained.
