Louise Thompson has made no secret of her health woes which have forced her to undergo a series of hospital tests to determine to root cause of her illness.

So understandably, the last place the former reality TV star, 33, would want to be is in hospital to celebrate her birthday. But it seems her loving partner Ryan Libbey was on hand to put a smile on her face as he surprised her with a set of Apple over the ear headphones, so she could listen to her favourite song, Tash Sultana's Jungle.

Completely overwhelmed, Louise who is the sister of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! winner Sam Thompson, said that she broke down in tears at the kindness and "gesture of goodwill." Sharing her emotional moment on her Instagram, the mum of one posted a picture of herself wearing the headphones with her head in her hand, as she sobbed with joy.

She told her followers: "It’s my birthday this coming Tuesday. Aries energy in abundance. When I was back in hospital for a short while following a few post op complications Ryan surprised me with a VERY generous early birthday present. He turned up with a pair of Apple over the ear headphones. I never would have bought these on my own accord. One of the (only) joys of a surprise."

She continued: "He set them up for me because I’ve found that in my old age (lol I’m literally turning 34 but sometimes I feel 84) my knack for technological ability seems to be slowing down... At a snowball gaining momentum pace. Dw I still type at over 100 words per minute and have a good grip on instagram. "

She added: "Actually I regularly rely on food delivery apps and other time saving apps. In fact I’m pretty proficient with tech. Maybe it’s impatience. If something takes me longer than 5 mins to sort out I like to outsource it (maybe as a result of being too good on technology in fact) Especially if I’m in hospital. Concentrating on things is challenging and it’s one of the rare circumstances where I become a ‘lazy’ person."

Louise then told her fans: "Anyway he plonked them on my head and he played the song tagged in this photo. It’s one of our favs. It’s honestly beautiful. I cried non stop. I got so fricking emotional about it (It’s weird how emotional one gets over things in hospital… ok it’s certainly not weird to be hysterical when faced with bad news, but WOW good news makes me cry buckets too). And gestures of good will. Maybe even more. Less shock, more emotion. "

It wasn't that long ago Louise informed her fans that she had been hospitalised after returning from a holiday in Antigua with her fiancé and their son Leo, two. She said on February 12 that she had been discharged after more than two weeks in hospital. Things had got so bad, she was "losing cup fulls of blood" every 20 minutes at one point on the holiday. Louise added that she also felt "disorientated a lot" and had some "inflammation" whilst on the island in the Caribbean.
