Back in 2018, fans were saddened to learn that Ant McPartlin was splitting from wife Lisa Armstrong.

The couple had been married for 11 years, and together for a total of 20, with Lisa filing for divorce as Ant had become 'intolerable to live with', according to court documents. Sadly, there was yet more heartbreak to come for Lisa, 47, who only learned that Ant had moved on with their former PA Anne-Marie Corbett when the romance hit the headlines.

Anne-Marie worked for Ant and Lisa for six years and even organised their 10th wedding anniversary party in 2016. Outside of work, makeup artist Lisa had been friends with Anne-Marie. But just one year later, everything changed between the trio, with Lisa expressing her dismay in a devastated 12-word tweet.

In June 2018, while Ant and Lisa were still officially married, The Sun broke the news that Ant, 48, had begun dating Anne-Marie, with the pair having become close amid Ant's personal difficulties. Taking to the social media platform X, then known as Twitter, Lisa claimed she'd only learned of the romance after reading about it in the newspaper.

Responding to one social media user who expressed sympathy, Lisa commented: "Yeah My friend and OUR PA who I let into OUR home", finishing off her message with a broken heart emoji. When asked by another user whether Ant had been 'decent' enough to forewarn her before the relationship was made public, Lisa replied: "Nope. Just [found out] how you guys did x".

Ant and Anne-Marie, 46, tied the knot in August 2021, and now live in a stunning £6 million Wimbledon Village mansion, some six miles away from the five-bedroom Chiswick home he'd shared with Lisa.

The final episode of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway aired this weekend, marking the end of an era for Ant and his long-time professional partner and close pal Declan Donnelly. In a rare show of support, Lisa Armstrong liked a post calling Ant and Dec 'simply the best', as fans rushed to heap the duo with praise.

The post, shared by one of Lisa's TV friends, read as follows: "After 20 years this amazing show is coming to a end it’s been a real joy & pleasure to have been there from the beginning, & in my 30-year career in showbiz I’ve worked with some brilliant people but these two are simply the best! Great friendships & memories made."

The emotional episode featured various surprises, plus special celeb guests such as Simon Cowell and Holly Willoughby - with the double act delivering a tearful sign off in the closing moments.

The final Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway aired April 13 at 7pm on ITV. You can catch it on ITV Player. Follow Mirror Celebs on Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads.
