Kim Kardashian was accused of trying to outshine her daughter North West after she shared a new photoshoot on Instagram.

The reality star and socialite, 43, shares North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm West with ex-husband Kanye. Her eldest daughter was recently cast in a screening of The Lion King which featured live musical numbers. She took on the role of young Simba and joined the likes of original Lion King star Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella.

Her costume involved baggy yellow trousers and a matching shirt along with a furry hat and boots. Last week, North rocked head-to-toe shearling from ERL as she posed for a photo shoot that Kim shared on Instagram. Kim even captioned the photos with a lion emoji.

On Tuesday, Kim took to her Instagram page to share photos from the same ERL photo shoot as she rocked a mustard yellow shearling coat, bag boots and hat - which looked similar to the outfit her 10-year-old daughter wore when she was performing on stage for Lion King.

Fans were outraged by the shoot and slammed her for 'not letting her daughter have her moment'. One user said: "Imagine paying to let your daughter have a moment then not letting your daughter have a moment," while another posted: "One thing she gone do is upstage her daughter cause she bought the stage."

"I guess you want a part in Lion King as well," one disappointed user commented and another follower added: "Just bc you can, doesn’t mean you should." Another took it more positively and said: "I love that you gave your daughter her moment and then you shared it with her. You both look so adorable and cosy!!!!"

Fans were not impressed with Kim's daughter getting a role in the show

Last month, Kim was accused of pulling strings to get North West cast in The Lion King. Kim came under fire after a TikTok user claimed that her own daughter had been overlooked despite being perfect for the part and said that Kim had "paid" to get North the role.

The scathing clip was shared on social media and prompted a sea of comments criticising Kim. One user fumed: "This family has never been told 'no' and it’s sad." A second scathed on Reddit: "Pimp mama Kim. How gross and entitled the KarJenners are... it's disgusting.."

North received a standing ovation after her stage debut as Simba in the production of The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl. The ten-year-old tried her best as she sang at the 30th anniversary concert celebrating the Disney classic, with her proud parents, grandmother Kris Jenner and aunt Kourtney Kardashian with husband Travis Barker watching the show.
