About

I’m a senior researcher recently joining the CRYSP (opens in new tab) in Microsoft Research Redmond. My research focuses on system and software security. Particularly, I am working on confidential computing and formal verification to design and build secure systems that process sensitive data in the cloud.

Before landed in MSR, I earned my PhD and bachelor’s degrees from University of California, Riverside and Peking University, respectively. Previously, I was focusing on side channel attacks, vulnerability analysis and kernel fuzzing, leading to a $15,000 award at GeekPwn International Security Geek Contest 2017 Silicon Valley, IRTF 2019 Applied Networking Research Prize and a $26,500 bug bounty from Apple Inc. I have also spoken at events including Linux Summer Summit 2021, CCS 2021, USENIX Security’20, IRTF Open Meeting 2019, and USENIX Security’18. You can find my full CV at link (opens in new tab).
