Patient with multiple conditions after receiving treatment thanks to charitable flights

In Her Own Words...

"I have cortisol issues that are worsened by stress. In September of 2022, they got so bad that I was diagnosed with Advanced Cushing's Disease. It also brought about high blood pressure and diabetes. Not long after I was diagnosed with Advanced Cushing's Disease, doctors found a mass on my right adrenal gland. They removed it, but then they found three tumors in my brain. Those were removed in April."

"I needed further treatment and testing, to ensure that the tumors wouldn't come back. The best option for that was at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. But there was a problem. I live in Nebraska, and wouldn't be able to physically tolerate driving 15 hours. At the same time, the stress of flying alone could cause my symptoms to flare up and put me in a medical crisis. And I can't pay for a ticket - I haven't worked since February of this year, and still have three kids to take care of. My husband works, but it's barely enough to get by on essentials."

"Mercy Medical Angels and the Hogan Family Foundation made it possible for me to get to Texas. They paid for my ticket and my husband's ticket. They helped me and my family maintain financial stability and overall wellness in this difficult time. I wouldn't have been able to get to the care I need if it weren't for Mercy Medical Angels and the Hogan Family Foundation. Everything was great."
