The past two weeks have been a blast! 💥 The USC and Techstars Digital Economy Program launched on the first weekend of April with Startup Weekend! We had 48 engaged participants that learned how to think, work and build like an entrepreneur. The following week, we held the first USC and Techstars Ecosystem Development Lab with community leaders that are passionate and dedicated to nurturing USC entrepreneurs and startups. It was such a pleasure to see this vibrant community in action and I am so grateful to all of the participants for making this a wonderful experience. This program is designed to train, activate and connect community leaders with local stakeholders and the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The program will provide participants with practical means to adapt quickly, apply the knowledge they gain, connect better with communities and bridge their ecosystem gap together. 📣 Calling all early-stage founders in the Greater Los Angeles Area! I am excited to announce that applications are now open for the University of Southern California and Techstars University Catalyst. Apply today: https://lnkd.in/gE_nYj9c. The USC and Techstars University Catalyst provides early-stage founders with startup education, mentorship, and access to the Techstars network. We’re supporting up to 20 entrepreneurs in the Greater Los Angeles area in this part-time, hybrid pre-accelerator program. This primarily virtual program will take place from September through November, with some in-person components. Participants will have access to virtual masterclasses with a focus on pitch coaching and pitch deck development, 1:1 mentoring through the Techstars network, and peer opportunities. In partnership with USC Research and Innovation, all entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply and there will be a concerted effort to support startups affiliated with the USC community, including faculty/staff, alumni and students.
