Last week, we hosted over 50 MBA students for a week-long AI Hackathon with Microsoft and POLIMI Graduate School of Management Using Microsoft Azure AI, the students developed five creative Generative AI solutions addressing societal challenges and business opportunities. Through its Startup Program (Microsoft for Startups), Microsoft provided expert hands-on guidance and Azure credits for developing and deploying the solutions. It’s fantastic to witness how quickly new AI tools can be learned and used and demonstrate tangible value rapidly. Thanks to Microsoft's Gabriela de Queiroz, Cedric Vidal, David Smith, and Marco Casalaina for fantastic support and facilitation, and Silicon Valley Experience LLC, Elisabeth Andersag, Flavio Notari, and Matteo Daste for collaboration.

We recently hosted Silicon Valley Fellowship and a group of brilliant students. The program helps connect entrepreneurs, startups, students, and researchers in the Bay Area. One of our Innovation Program Managers, Frank Hysa, Ph.D., facilitated the workshop, and it gravitated to building networks in the ecosystem and how to pursue a career in "corporate innovation." Some ideas that can help build networks include: 🚀 Organize and participate in "Ecosystem Mixer Events" where entrepreneurs, startups, students, researchers, and corporate innovators can network and exchange ideas. These events can feature lightning talks from industry leaders, panel discussions on emerging trends, and opportunities for informal networking. 🚀 Establish and participate in innovation hubs where ecosystem members can collaborate and share knowledge. Hubs generally include discussion forums, resource libraries, expert Q&A sessions, and virtual networking events. We hope to see these new entrepreneurs back in new and exciting leading roles in their future endeavors.
