We are excited to collaborate and learn in diverse and innovative ways, documenting our journeys on this platform. Below, you will find a brief introduction to each of us that highlights our passions and experiences.

Stay tuned for weekly updates that shed light on the projects and firsthand activities we are involved in!

My name is Sophie Albright , and I am the Product Marketing Intern this summer. I am a rising senior at Boston College, majoring in Communications with a minor in Marketing. I am also a member of our NCAA D1 Track and Field team as a high jumper. Being a student-athlete at Boston College has been an invaluable experience, providing me with opportunities, lessons, and people that have profoundly impacted my life.

In addition, I am involved in extracurriculars including Best Buddies and Relay for Life, where I serve on the relations committee, raising money for the American Cancer Society. Within athletics, I have had the pleasure of being a part of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee’s mental health committee, Eagles4Equality’s gender and disability committee, and PenPals. Coming from the greater Boston area, I am a diehard Boston sports fan. My brother has played hockey his whole life, so my family and I are big Bruins fans.

I have a passion for marketing because it is constantly evolving and changing. There are so many unique disciplines to explore, which is an exciting aspect of the Skillsoft internship program. I am eager to understand and learn how different fields of marketing interact with one another and contribute to the broader success of a company.

Hi! My name is Darya Tadlaoui , and I’m working as a Social Media Marketing Intern this summer. I’m a rising senior at Northwestern University, studying Journalism, Legal Studies, and Integrated Marketing Communications. I’m originally from just outside Dallas, Texas, but have since embraced Chicago’s winters!

At Northwestern, I’m the Vice President of Marketing for our chapter of The Women’s Network, the Editor in Chief of Wavelength Magazine, the Features Editor of North by Northwestern, a staff writer for our Undergraduate Law Journal, and a member of our pre-law fraternity. Outside of school, much of my time is centered around music — I’m classically trained in the piano and have recently taken up music production and audio engineering.

I’m thrilled to join Skillsoft’s team this summer and contribute to its mission of empowering learners and leaders. As an intern at Northwestern’s Prison Education Program last summer, I witnessed the positive and transformative impact of education on the lives of others, and I jumped at the opportunity to be part of a company dedicated to empowering its audience with professional development opportunities. I look forward to immersing myself in the world of marketing, collaborating across teams to understand campaign lifecycles, content strategies, and the role of social media in promoting various advertising efforts. In my first few weeks, I have already grown to appreciate my co-workers and their depth of knowledge!

Hi! My name is Lindsay Frucci , and I will be Skillsoft’s Demand Generation Intern on the acquisitions team this summer. I am a rising senior at Fordham University’s Rose Hill campus and a marketing major at the Gabelli School of Business. My interest in marketing was sparked by the integration of creativity and analytics within this industry. Through many marketing courses and industry experience, I have developed a passion for connecting with consumers and understanding their behaviors.

At school, I hold a position on the fundraising and community service board of Fordham’s chapter of the American Marketing Association. I am also involved in Best Buddies and Leading Women of Tomorrow. I am originally from Basking Ridge, New Jersey, a small, historic town in the northern part of the state, and I grew up spending a lot of time in New York City. This greatly influenced my decision to attend Fordham, and I hope to continue to live there after I graduate. Last summer, my family relocated down south to Wilmington, North Carolina, where I have loved the warm weather and beautiful beaches.

I was originally drawn to Skillsoft because of the company’s primary goal to help people learn and grow both professionally and personally. I strive to implement learning and growth into all aspects of my life, from the classroom and workspace to real-world experiences. I look forward to collaborating with my coworkers, who have a great deal of experience for me to learn from. Additionally, I am excited to participate in projects involving cross-functional marketing teams, observing how the different branches interact with one another. In just my first two weeks at Skillsoft, I have learned so much and am eager to continue throughout the summer!

Hi! My name is Shazia Khatoon , and I was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, right outside of New York City! Fortunately, living a fast-paced and dynamic life has exposed me to different types of people, places, and experiences. I am the youngest of three sisters, which can be quite chaotic at times, but I am blessed to have role models to look up to and be surrounded by genuine female empowerment.

Regarding academics, I am a rising senior at Rutgers University, double majoring in Marketing and Management Information Systems (MIS). I chose Marketing as it was an aspect of business that expressed my creativity, and MIS because I wanted to carve out a unique niche within Marketing. Outside the norms of a classroom, I am involved in Women BUILD, a leadership program at the Rutgers Business School that promotes gender equity in business and provides a certification in Women’s Leadership.

Alongside college, I am always on the lookout for opportunities to advance my skillset both personally and professionally, which is exactly what led me to Skillsoft. As an Account Based Marketing (ABM) Intern, I look forward to gaining hands-on experience with ABM projects, working collaboratively with other marketing teams, and developing transferable skills for future endeavors. Although I am only two weeks into my internship, I have already learned so much from Skillsoft and am excited to see what’s next!

Hi, my name is Srivarshita Yellapragada , but you can call me Varshi! I was born in India and moved to the United States with my parents when I was about a year and a half old. Now, I live in Manalapan, New Jersey, with my parents and younger brother. I am a rising senior at Rutgers Business School, part of the Honors College, majoring in marketing with a concentration in social justice through the Honors Living-Learning Community. Additionally, I am earning a certification in women’s leadership through the Women Build program.

I am passionate about marketing because I believe that effective marketing can transform a company’s fortunes, and I enjoy being able to have that impact. My interest in marketing began when I observed my parents working in retail marketing as a side hustle alongside their careers in the information technology industry. Watching how they interacted with people sparked my interest in consumer behavior and what motivates consumers to make purchases. As a marketing research assistant at the Rutgers Behavioral Lab, I discovered that marketing allows me to combine my creative and analytical skills to help organizations grow effectively. My extracurricular activities include serving as the Marketing Director of the Future Business Leaders of America, Corporate Relations Director and cohort member of Women Build, RBS Team Up participant, Urban Solutions Lab intern, social media intern for the Center of Women in Business, and teaching assistant.

During my time at Skillsoft, I am most excited about witnessing real customer stories and understanding how Skillsoft has contributed to their professional success. I am also eager to learn more about the different sub-branches within content marketing.
