How To Foster A Culture of Innovation and Learning

Discover how to foster a culture of innovation and learning with on this week's episode of the Leadership Learns Podcast with Tami Rosen , Chief People Officer of Pagaya .

One of Tami's early standout achievements was co-founding one of the first LGBT+ ally programs on Wall Street during her time at Goldman Sachs in 2007. This program not only broke barriers but also transformed workplace culture by inspiring employees to bring their authentic selves to work, showing that when employees feel valued and included, productivity soars.

During this episode we discuss the link between culture and business outcomes, how a people strategy shits from start-up to FTSE 100 and some of the biggest mistakes companies make when developing their people strategy.

Check out some of Tami's thoughts below:

What does great culture look like?

I think a great culture is one that encourages learning.

One that really encourages people to debate, commit and have their voices heard. Also one that enables collaboration, and I have been fortunate to be at many companies that have had elements of that.

It’s culminated in Pagaya which has all of it, so we centre around learning for ourselves, for our teams for our partners, for investors we focus on making sure that all voices can be heard, and we debate but yet we commit to make decisions.

We focus a lot on collaboration and then I'll add it based on who we are at Pagaya, where we are as a company advancing inclusion in the financial industry giving opportunities to more in the lending space. I feel like internally the company has to advance inclusion to allow for each of our people to be able to do that for themselves and their journeys here and be able to have a career that is marked by getting better and making impact.
