Brightcove Unveils FAST Channel Capabilities and New QoE Products at the 2023 NAB Show

The NAB Show gathers some of the best and brightest media and broadcasting professionals from around the world. Every year, the community comes together to showcase what’s new and trending in the broadcast world and the latest tools to advance our business into the future. This year, during the 100th celebration of the NAB Show, Brightcove exhibited its latest news and innovations. We announced details about our newest partnership to provide our customers with FAST channel capabilities and details about our new Quality of Experience (“QoE”) products to continue being a trusted partner to our customers.  Here's a recap of everything we exhibited during our trip to Las Vegas.

Partnership with Frequency - FAST Channel Capabilities

We announced a strategic partnership with Frequency a cloud-based video platform powering linear channel creation for content providers. By partnering with them, we now provide our customers the ability to seamlessly create, launch and manage FAST channels to expand their reach and increase their revenue – all directly from our platform with the integration. New Products: QoE Analytics and Insights

Brightcove is the world’s most trusted streaming company - and we are valued partners to our customers. To help them better understand the impact of our platform, we launched two new products to better serve our customers’ needs: QoE Analytics and Insights. These two new additions to our service are designed to help customers measure the quality of the delivery of their video content and its impact on their viewers. Through the use of machine learning to produce data-backed reports on content performance, QoE Analytics and Insights will help companies enhance the viewer experience and increase audience engagement. Panels and Demonstrations

Brightcove hosted two key sessions to help industry professionals expand their knowledge of video encoding and the state of the FAST channel industry. David Beck, our Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer, led a key panel for the NAB Streaming Summit about the business of FAST channels, addressing monetization, saturation, and viewer engagement alongside experts from VEVO, Samsung TV Plus, Gusto TV, Plex TV, and Sling TV. Yuriy Reznik, VP of Research and Brightcove Fellow, also led a special session about improving content-aware encoding to “true resolution.”

Brightcove was also present at the Amazon Web Services (AWS) booth as a preferred partner and at the NAB Futures Park to showcase our latest research, development, and technology. The OTT Monetization demonstration showcased our partner ecosystem, enabling cost-efficient localized playback, regional subscription offers, and yield-optimized advertising in an integrated solution with Evergent, Inc., SpringServe, and AWS services, allowing for the ability to reach and monetize global audiences.
