Today many banks across the world; including FAB from #UAE; have declared the settlement of tokenized funds over TCN app based on #ONYX digital asset #blockchain from JP Morgan … Well a few points which are noteworthy to know : 1. ONYX is based on Quorum which is the enterprise version of Ethereum; yes, it is the same ethereum on which ERC20 tokenization went live in 2016 and so many coins made to market. 2. If tokenization is available since so long then why enterprises took so much time; reason is the availability of other parties who would transactions; one party cannot do anything of his own if considerable partners are not present on the same network. 3. This is a considerable success not from technology point of view but from the #regulatory perspective. Now, the storm of tokenization would come and this may become the next trend banking. In case, you want to answer something from your side then answer this - is it actually #decentralize ? :) ..

Last week I participated in the Handelsblatt BankenTech conference in Frankfurt, where banks and FinTechs were discussing how next generation technologies disrupt current business models, new requirements for IT management and skills needed to drive transformation. I had the pleasure to discuss (future) blockchain use cases, developments in the world of banking resulting from innovative technologies and how banks can adapt to current trends with Matthias Lais. Thank you Jürgen Bott for moderating and exchanging views. My highlights of our panel are: ▪️The core asset of banks is #trust and it is up to banks to inject the trust element into a the future banking environment through becoming part of the emerging ecosystems and foster the transformation from within ▪️#clientcentricity drives the investment of banks into use cases enabled by DLT, e.g. in the field of tokenization of assets and money. Even if it is a bit of a waiting game at the moment where we observe rather negative ROIs for most of those use cases in the market, along the way the long-term effect will be deeper client relationships and hence tangible shareholder value added ▪️Senior Management of banks have the responsibility to switch from being (slightly) interested in #nextgentechnologies and start to fully embrace those in order to foster the creation of really tangible use cases with a positive ROI #blockchain #nextgentechnologies #innovation #futurebanking #HBBanken
