Want to improve cycling safety in your city but unsure how? Tomorrow, 22 November, I will be presenting on CycleRAP, our cycling and micro-mobility risk assessment tool.
I’ll be covering what CycleRAP is, how it works, how to use it, and recent examples from international pilots. The session will be interesting and relevant to anyone working on an urban cycling strategy, in the advocacy space, in infrastructure planning, design, financing and/or evaluation.

📢 Our sixth #RAPKnowledgeLive session will be held in November, highlighting the progress of #CycleRAP.
#CycleRAP is an easy, affordable and fast method of evaluating road and bicycling infrastructure for safety. It aims to reduce crashes and improve safety specifically for bicyclists and other light mobility users by identifying high risk locations without the need for crash data.
On the 25 October, a new report ‘Cycling around the World’ was launched by iRAP, in partnership with Fundación MAPFRE, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and PTV Group. This report covers the first major pilot of the CycleRAP model, with cities in Europe, South America and North America participating.
In this session we will cover:
✅ A brief introduction of CycleRAP and its evolution since being launched in 2022.
✅ Discussion on the pilot project, including the ‘Cycling around the World’ report and associated case studies.
✅ Whats next for CycleRAP?
Speakers will include – Monica O. – Global Innovation Manager and Cities Specialist, iRAP
Date: Wednesday 22 November
Time: 8.00 AM – 9.00 AM (Eastern time)/ 2.00 PM – 3.00 PM (CET)
Registration is free.
