🚨 Beware of Ignorant Behavior from Chitra Publicity OOH! 🚨 Recently, I had a disappointing experience when I attempted to engage with @ChitraPublicityOOH to Hire a Planner. It's disheartening to share that their response was far from professional or courteous. Despite expressing genuine interest, they behaved arrogantly, dismissing us simply because we couldn’t display our company site details on their website. Chitra Publicity OOH, Gujarat claims to be in industry from the last 85 years but still lacking basic business ethics. Customer engagement should never be met with disrespect. As potential clients, we deserve fair treatment and understanding. Every potential customer deserves respect and fair treatment, regardless of their ability to fulfill particular demands. Originating from the trolls faced by a high-achieving female student due to her facial hair, the ad seeks to capitalise on this unfortunate incident. However, instead of using it as an opportunity to shed light on an important issue, the marketing team and their agency have handled it with poor taste and insensitivity. Opting for a print medium despite being a digital-first D2C brand raises questions about their strategy, especially given the sensitive nature of the subject. Moreover, attempting to promote their product in the midst of such a delicate matter is disheartening. While the initial trolling took place on social media, this ad extends the negativity into other domains, exacerbating the problem. It's astonishing that a successful D2C brand would engage in such behavior; brands must exercise sensitivity in their marketing communications. Hopefully, the team at Bombay Shaving Company will reflect on this misstep and glean important lessons for the future. This is what I learned today as a freelancer in influencer management. ✨ An influencer, let's call her Zee, was locked for a collaboration with a jewelry brand 💎 Unlike all the other collaborators under the campaign in hand, she is saying that she doesn't have a dress that fits the client's criteria, she won't buy one with her own money 🥸 So, now we have to buy a dress on our own and send it to her, my team is in Mumbai, I am in Panipat, and she is in Delhi. Coincidentally, I have to visit for some work because of which the task fits my schedule. Why am I sharing this? Because I learnt that some clients, or collaborators can be difficult at times, it's up to you how you handle the situation (we could replace the collaborator but it won't have been an ideal solution for the client) Now I understand why client servicing, influencer management, etc. ask for more experience from the candidates who wish to join. 🙇♀️🙇♀️ PS: School, college mein to doston se costume ka jugaad kar lete the 🤗 inka acha hai, paise bhi 🤑, jewellery bhi, or new dress bhi👗🤡 #influencermarketing #learningfromexperience
