As we close out another inspiring week at Cannes, I’m humbled and honored to be named alongside so many creative, talented, and innovative marketing leaders on this year’s Forbes Most Influential CMO list.
After four years in seat as Walmart’s CMO, I continue to be impressed and inspired by the work of our Walmart Marketing team and agency partners. This recognition reflects their collaborative effort that is driving results for our business and brand.
We always strive to show up for our customers where and how they want. Over the last year, with experiences like Walmart Discovered on Roblox, the scaling of Walmart Creator, and an innovative and first-of-its-kind shoppable content series, ‘Add to Heart’, we created and fostered relationships with our customers beyond our physical and digital doors.
Our founder, Sam Walton, had a series of rules for business. Number 10 is my favorite: swim upstream. The inspiration I take away from this rule is to be brave. Experiment, innovate and anticipate your customer needs. I’m more inspired than ever to continue to swim upstream and serve the millions of customers and members who rely on Walmart.
