At Driveline Baseball Enterprises, Inc we calculated that if he gained 2 MPH of bat speed, he would increase his Barrel% from 2.1% to 3.2% and his xwOBAcon (damage on contact) would improve to 0.347. These would be significant improvements. So he trained with an eye on improving Bat Speed and Smash Factor, as his Swing Decisions were already quite good. Our Big Three analysis showed he should attack the top two factors first. Crawford's 2023 data is a bit better than our projections! Want to learn more?
