People still feel deeply connected to their anchor teams who are “in their homes” and millions of people rely on local news websites for most of their news in a day. Yes, many of us “use it” differently today - I see it on Instagram and go to the stories that way. President Biden,;: ‘ we the people are aware of what you are trying to do. You are trying to prevent the media, from posting information, if it is concerning Hunter Biden or you. What are you trying to hide? That is the question that tends to rise. By making this swift decision,; you make yourself look guilty. Please take advice from the wise. We the people refuse to be lied to anymore,; we the people want the shelves stocked in every store. We the people want for our farmers to be supported. We are tired of paying high prices at the register. So many goods are being imported. We the people want a minimum wage increase,; we the people are seeking worldly peace. If you can not give us what we are asking for,; maybe it is time to elect a leader that we all adore.

The Legal Matrix at the highest judicial level

Allison Russo is used to being the only woman in the room. Yet again she occupies that seat in a heated debate where Ohio’s democracy hangs in the balance. You might say: Emily, you’re overreacting. Me: I generally try not to. But also… In case you’re new to it: 🚫Issue 1 will effectively remove regular peoples’ ability to change our constitution because obtaining signatures from 5% of registered voters in every single county is damn near impossible. (Yes, the 60% vote thing is nonsense in a special election…but the signature problem is worse.) 🚫Our Ohio legislature refuses to follow Supreme Court decisions that a bill or action is unconstitutional. 🚫And our gerrymandered legislature has a single party super-majority and can override a veto…if one ever happened. 🚫Our main election official is running in a mega-partisan US Senate race and is using Issue 1 to get earned (aka free) publicity. Testifying before Congress is like playing poker in Las Vegas with professionals...as soon as you sit down at the table, you have lost. The only questions are how much you lose and how long it takes. ✅ It is not about finding solutions. ✅ It is not about legislation. ✅ It is about taking a pound of flesh. ✅ It is theater, and you are not an actor. I advise clients not to testify in front of Congress unless legally compelled. The negative publicity of refusing to testify is nearly certain to be better than what will come out of the hearing. The days of Fred Rogers going to Congress and convincing them of the value of his programming and saving his budget are over.
