Hundreds of Slovak companies want to do business with Volvo. According to the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency, a total of more than 500 companies have completed the free registration on its website. The agency then poured the databases into Volvo Group's supplier platform, which was launched in May this year. "Neither Volvo nor the registered companies have any information obligation to SARIO about the current negotiations or contracting of suppliers," the agency added. However, it is in continuous contact with the carmaker's representatives for various post-investment services. The agency did not want to comment further on other potential investors who could be part of the upcoming Strategic Industrial Park Valaliky near Košice. According to the latest published data, almost 7.2 thousand employees should find work there in the next few years. Together with subcontracting companies, this number could increase to almost 16 thousand. "Implementation work may be in the preparatory phase or just getting underway. For this reason, SARIO does not disclose details," the agency said briefly.
