Your content does not have to be better than competitive titles, just different. Claim your market niche where your difference makes a difference. Volvo does not claim to make a better car than BMW – just a different one. In customers’ minds, Volvo is associated with safety, while BMW emphasizes the joy and excitement of driving. Because the two automakers emphasize different criteria of purchase, they appeal to different customers. Apply the same concept to your products.

Today Volvo Cars reported financial results for our record-breaking global year in 2023. In addition to record retail sales, we also reported the highest-ever revenue and operating profit in our 97-year history.   This is an absolutely fantastic achievement and I could not be more proud of all our global colleagues who contributed to these results, and especially our US & Canada region retailers and employees.    Our region accounted for nearly 20% of global sales volume, selling 141,566 cars in the US & Canada in 2023 – with our electrified Recharge models representing over 28% of total sales for the year.   When it comes to our product line up, we also significantly increased our EV share of sales globally to 16% of total volume - one of the highest levels among all legacy premium carmakers. These EV sales continue to be balanced by our extensive range of plug-in and mild hybrid models, which will remain a key part of our portfolio in the coming years and serve as an important bridge for our customers as they increasingly venture into the world of EVs.    These results are a testament of all the hard work going on across our business to build a solid foundation not only for 2024, but for the future of Volvo Cars.   https://lnkd.in/gzrgHeya

Volvo's car sales have seen a 10% YoY January increase, boosted by a 40% increase in EV sales in Europe. The company sold 53,402 cars in January 2024. Volvo's sales of fully electric cars were up 17%. The sales of recharge models, which include hybrid models, dropped by 3%. Sales in Europe, Volvo's biggest market, increased by 8%, while sales in the U.S. remained flat. The company saw a significant increase in sales in China, which went up by 36%.

Good Q3 Volvo Cars: Strong growth, improving margins and accelerating electrification.   Our third quarter results announced this morning demonstrate our underlying business is gathering momentum while we continue to transform towards the future. Our core profits are up almost 75% to SEK 6.1 bn on the back of strong revenues of SEK 92 bn, an increase of 16%. Our retail sales during the quarter were up 22%, with the standout performance of our fully electric cars growing 111%. In the quarters ahead, we will start introducing our next generation fully electric cars, the EX30, the EX90 and the EM90 putting us for a fast start in 2024. Volvo Cars' sales rose 27% in April from a year earlier to 65,838 cars, boosted by demand for electric and hybrid vehicles, the Sweden-based group said on Monday. Volvo Cars, majority-owned by China's Geely Holding, said in a statement sales of fully electric cars were up 94% and accounted for 26% of all sales globally in the month. Sales in Europe, Volvo Cars' biggest market, jumped 65% compared to the same period last year, reaching 34,238 cars, with the company's fully electric small SUV, EX30, driving sales, Volvo Cars added. #electricvehicles #zeroemissions
