What steps can lead a company towards a more sustainable car fleet? ✨🌿 On January 23rd, Ferenc Sudár, Business Manager of Arval, gave an outstanding presentation at the Sustainability Partnering event, where he explored the sustainability aspects of company fleets, while also discussing how to reduce our ecological footprint. As an environmentally conscious company, we believe it is essential to continuously improve and optimise our fleets, thereby bringing our carbon footprint close to zero, and we are helping all our customers to do this. 😊✅

♻️🌱🛞 We have once again received the Platinum rating from the renowned sustainability assessment platform, EcoVadis. This is the third consecutive year we’ve been awarded EcoVadis’ top ranking since 2021, putting us in the top 1% of the 130,000 companies assessed globally across 220 industry sectors! In the increasingly regulated and complex world of corporate sustainability, this is a great achievement. Maintaining this rating reflects our ongoing commitment to all areas of sustainability and the progress we’re making continuously, guided by the Bridgestone E8 Commitment. New year, same commitment. Deutsche Post und DHL remains dedicated to being a leader in sustainable logistics and joining forces with others to achieve this goal. After all, big goals require teamwork! Making the industry climate-neutral is not only challenging but also requires significant investment, which cannot be provided by the state alone. Without private capital and entrepreneurial initiative, the transformation will not succeed. Companies and society must contribute, and they are doing so, as the latest example of our partnership with mytheresa.com shows: Mytheresa, a leading luxury e-commerce platform, is teaming up with DHL Express for the next 5 years to reduce CO2e emissions. How? By using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). This collaboration marks the largest investment by a DHL customer in Europe for our GoGreen Plus service. Mytheresa's several-million-euro investment in GoGreen Plus demonstrates their clear commitment to sustainable international express transportation, a commitment that I hope will be inspiring for other customers. Partnerships like this reflect the growing awareness of climate protection and the willingness to spend more on climate protection. Through our collaboration, Mytheresa is estimated to reduce CO2e emissions from international shipments by over 27,000 tons in the next five years. With our GoGreen Plus initiative, launched last year, our customers can directly contribute to reducing emissions: the surcharge paid for GoGreen Plus gets directly invested in measures to avoid emissions generated during shipping, i.e., the expansion of the electric vehicle fleet, the construction of CO2-neutral delivery bases or the use of alternative fuels. Of course, to achieve our company goal of net-zero emissions by 2050, we are also investing heavily: we will spend seven billion euros in clean technologies until 2030, with a primary focus on SAF, as most of our GHG emissions come from aviation. Transitioning to climate-neutral aviation is a complex and challenging endeavor. It requires substantial investments in innovative technologies and infrastructure. One of the primary obstacles we face in achieving climate-neutral aviation is the limited availability of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) compared to the growing demand. At DHL Group, we understand the urgency of this issue and that's why we have set ourselves an ambitious target objective: to use 30% SAF by 2030 and we are fully committed to leading the way in its adoption. However, we acknowledge that meeting this target will require collaborative efforts from industry stakeholders, policymakers, and fuel suppliers to significantly increase the production and availability of SAF. The launch of EV Magazine was a response to the overwhelming growth in emobility discussions, but there's much more to it than that. Pirelli's recognition in S&P Global's Sustainability Yearbook puts the company in an interesting position–to educate those around it as all automotive and motorsport-related industries evolve to deliver more responsible components and champion the diversity within these industries.
