In June, we're celebrating the five year #anniversary of Kait DeRoo, an Associate Product Manager on our #Omnichannel Team. Kait is currently in charge of product images and assets, working with closely with internal teams as well as vendors, customers, and other partners to optimize our online product listings. I was honored to sit down and share Edgewell Personal Care's omni-channel philosophy and strategy with one of my favorite clients of all time Lauren de Wet, MBA in a recent BWG Strategy LLC webinar. Working with Edgewell is the gift that keeps on giving at Blue Wheel because we share the same viewpoint on omni-channel digital strategy and they give us freedom to creatively problem solve our way to success. 🎯 We talked about flow-charting your strategy centered around setting macro goals for the brand, how each channel's micro-KPIs fuels the greater good and how truly focusing on channel precision and holistic measurement allows us to make intelligent decisions over time. At Blue Wheel, we have built a proprietary analytics vehicle called the Performance Commerce Effect (PCE) to see how all things work together. 🗺️ I think that too many people think the perfect omni-channel strategy is some mythical blueprint that only 1% of marketers can achieve. Ask yourself this... can you tie each channel's performance to your macro growth goals? Don't overthink it. Sometimes organic social is simply there to drive impressions, showcase product education, social proof and build 1:1 conversations with your customers. But you should have some kind of mechanism to quantify this. A good omni-channel strategy is also fluid and budget friendly... 💰The endless stream of vapor capital in ecomm is drying up before our very eyes. Profitability matters more than it ever has in today's landscape. This is why we are often shooting for 6-8 channels within a single creative production for Edgewell. Is your creative production fluid enough to post as snackable content on social and also go primetime on Thursday Night Football? If it's not you are lighting money on fire. Tie your efforts together. You'll not only save money but you'll find performance in the process. 🧠 A good omni-channel strategy is about being tactical, fluid and aggressive when you find the right levers to pull. It's also about knowing that most good omni-channel strategies often include 7-10 channels working together at once. Lean into holistic measurement. Don't think in siloes. Hope this helps!
