For the Long Course Weekend 2023, Activity Wales Events decided to implement one.network's Live Link to help communicate road closures to the public and keep the community safe. Using the Live Link mobile app, the team at Activity Wales Events was able to issue instant road closure updates for each sporting event to all major sat-nav apps with the tap of a button.
Not only did this enhance safety for residents, spectators and athletes by minimising instances of drivers attempting to navigate road closures, it also resulted in a significant reduction in congestion on the road network compared to previous years.
Operations Manager, Sarah Wills told us:
"We definitely saw a notable improvement in traffic flow throughout the event. Sharing closure information on one.network and pushing it out to sat-navs via Live Link meant we were able to keep everyone informed and limit congestion to a minimum."

Spond is not just an app; it's a game-changer for team and club communication. With features that streamline scheduling, messaging, and event management, it's the secret sauce behind the success of many sports organizations including DME Academy, Sarasota.
🔥 But it's not just about the product; it's about the people behind it! We've had the privilege of working closely with Trine Fjellberg Falnes and her dedicated team.
🚀 They provide the very best products and features in the market. We know that when communication flows smoothly, teams can focus on what matters most - their game, their club, and their community. 🙌
👏 Kudos to them for their new features that are making it even easier for clubs and sports teams to navigate the busy waters of youth sports.

If you don’t have pictures to prove it, did it happen? 🤳
In this case, yes.
Three eager Shortcutters were attending two of Apple’s Vision Pro Labs a few weeks ago.
We couldn’t be prouder of Kristine Korsfur, Magnus Tviberg, and Magnus Romnes. The first two were 2 out of approximately 20 attendees in London.
Shortcut met with Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK) TV to brainstorm ways for them to bring their content to Vision Pro.
Then, several Shortcutters began developing a demo that was used for the application for Apple’s Vision Pro Lab. 👓
Great job on the demo Denis Dzyubenko! And Erick Vavretchek, Petter Klingen Wright and Magnus T as well! 👏
The demo was created to showcase how a 360° video of concerts and sports broadcasts could create a sense of being there physically.
It was a full day of insightful learning.
Our Shortcutters got to know Vision Pro in-depth and tested different apps that came built into the OS.
Kristine made an app icon for the app and got to experience how app icons work in 3D. Magnus R explored hand tracking.
Even though Apple didn’t allow anyone to take any pictures, we promise you, they were there.
It was all very hush-hush. 🤫
Which apps do you want to try out with Vision Pro?

We hope you have a great event. 🎉
