We are on the final strech of Women's History Month and today's highlight is Gabriela Trevino, Director of Human Resources for Piston Interiors, a Piston Group company. "What do you do for Piston? I serve as the Director of Human Resources for Piston Interiors, overseeing operations in the United States and Mexico. Why is what you do important to Piston? As a member of the executive team, my role as Director of Human Resources is central to our operations. I oversee corporate-level HR functions, ensuring our strategies are aligned with company objectives to nurture a positive, inclusive work environment. 🫶 Equity, diversity, and inclusion work together and reinforce each other. Guiding our teams on how to build a more inclusive workplace is a priority for us in 2024 and beyond. As part of Broadsign's ongoing commitment to women's development in the workplace and a step towards creating a women-led Employee Resource Group (ERG) within the organization, we recently welcomed Jennifer (Tishman) Willey of Wet Cement to speak to our team about important topics like inclusion and embracing equity in the workplace.  Jennifer shared some of her top tips for accelerating gender equity in the workplace, sharing insights for allies and leaders. At the current rate, according to projections by the United Nations, it will take: 📉💔 300 years to end child marriage 📉💔286 years to close gender gaps in legal protection 📉💔140 years for equal female representation in leadership roles, 📉💔 47 years for parity in national parliaments. .... and the list continious. Celebrating Women's Day is more than acknowledging economic, cultural, and political advances of women; it's an individual call to action against gender biases, all-encompassing gender gaps, and the shattering of glass ceilings hindering women's aspirations👊 International Women's Day 2024 centers around inspiring inclusion. At Topsoe some of us reflected on what inclusion means to us. Inclusion, for me, is 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Embracing diverse perspectives is not just listening to others but honestly valuing diverse opinions and promoting differing views. It's also about disruption: by promoting diverse perspective that lead to advancement and innovation. Happy day to my colleagues!
