Don't miss the 1️⃣st Exchange Forum of National Chapters in Porto on Feb 22-23! 🤝 For the first time, high-level representatives of National Chapters and interested parties in setting up a CoARA National Chapter are coming together for an Exchange Forum, a platform to facilitate knowledge-sharing among national-level communities of practice. The event is organised in collaboration with INESC TEC, Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), Universidade do Minho, and Science Europe. 🌐 CoARA member organisations follow a shared direction and a collective commitment to the principles of the reform of research assessment. However, the success of implementing these principles hinges on a nuanced understanding of the diverse geographical, regional, institutional, and disciplinary contexts in which CoARA member organisations are situated. Forming country-level communities of practice and translating the implementation of a reformed research assessment culture into diverse contexts is key to CoARA’s success in #ReformingRA 💡 This event offers unique a platform to share inspiring practices from existing National Chapters and reflect on their challenges, thereby building bridges between existing communities of practice while motivating other members to join or form a National Chapter within their own country. 📅 Registration is open until Feb15. Exactly a month ago the second GINEVRA partners meeting took place in Ptuj and Ljubljana, Slovenia, on 7th and 8th November 2023. 🗓️ The gathering was a pivotal moment for the project, focusing on consolidating progress and gearing up for the next phases. Day one was filled with discussions in Ptuj, where partners delved into the accomplishments of the project so far and strategised the implementation of the next phases. 🚀 In a productive morning session, HARFA provided insights into the progress of the project, outlining upcoming deliverables, partner efforts, and evaluating completed activities. EMFIE then updated us on future goals, sharing details on related activities, contributions, and milestones. 📊 The day concluded with an interactive discussion session on the tender of technology providers, facilitated by CISE and Vienna University of Technology, followed by the Steering Committee Meeting, focusing on project monitoring, management, and reporting. 💬📈 On day two, partners had a fascinating study visit to the AV Living Lab company in Ljubljana – a living laboratory connecting industries, technologies, data, and digital infrastructures for future mobility solutions. 🏙️🤖 This experience has equipped partners with valuable insights into transformative innovation practices. The two day event happened to be one of the few that I have participated recently where I observed how awareness can become the keystone upon which collaboration and knowlege gaps are built. In their extremely engaging presentations (and I have something to learn from those magnificent slides as well) Jua Cilliers instills the desire not only to build better but also to think better. It had me thinking how reshifting preferences in a game like monopoly can transform desires. In Jua’s words: “Whatever good things we build end up building us”. Mia Bothma refreshed my basic understanding about NbS. Drawing relationships between marketing and NbS in a world of consumerism offers fascinating insights to planners too. In her words: We dont want people to be just aware but we want them to take action”.

We all definitely want young people to stay in Slovakia. As our CEO, Ing. 🌍 Altaroad intensifies its international exposure 🌍 As a continuation of our undertaken actions throughout 2023, recently we had the opportunity to take part in three major international congresses, showcasing our commitment to innovation concerning waste traceability and traffic safety on road infrastructures. 🛣️ 🚦 In Prague, we took part in the XXVII World Road Congress, one of the largest international exhibitions dedicated to road safety, organised by PIARC - World Road Association. We were able to establish useful contacts as well as share our expertise and our solutions with players from several countries who share the same concerns regarding security, maintenance, monitoring and traffic management. 💼 At the world-renowned XVIIth AFTES international exhibition, organised in France by the French Tunnelling and Underground Space Association, we had the opportunity to meet major international companies, share our construction waste traceability solutions and explore new growth perspectives.  🔄 In Namur, Belgium, during the “Towards Zero Construction Waste” study day, organised by the Service public de Wallonie (SPW), we were invited to run a stand as well as present how the digital tools which we have developed facilitate the reuse of construction materials, and by doing so, contribute towards a more sustainable future. 🧑💻 Mine Vaganti NGO attended the second Transnational Project Meeting of the project “Quality of Interaction of the Virtual Auditorium” a Partnership for Innovation – Forward Looking Project funded by the Erasmus Plus programme. During the meeting partners presented the story board of the results developed so far, and a fruitful discussion developed on the next steps for the development of the intellectual outputs and future meetings. ✨The event took place on 13th and 14th of June in THESSALONIKI, Greece. In the framework of the “Virtual Auditorium” project, representatives from the 7 partners’ countries, including Genrmany, France, Hungary, Turkey, Italy, Greece, and Latvia discussed the topics of implementation of the local activities, project workflow and results, as well as dissemination activities. 🎓 “Virtual Auditorium” project focuses on creating and implementing innovative educational approches through the education of technology.
