Dethleffs announces new camper van model on Ford Transit chassis! 🆕
With the Globetrail 590C based on the Ford Transit, the camping vehicle manufacturer Dethleffs wants to offer an alternative in the crisis-ridden chassis market. The good old Fiat Ducato remains a solid camping vehicle, but the shortage of semiconductors on the world markets is causing a major headache, especially for the automotive industry and ultimately also for the motorhome industry. Ford offers here an alternative - which tis not worse. Dethleffs adopts the Ford Transit as a base vehicle for motorhomes and camper vans, in addition to the Globetrail series, among others also for the Just Go. The Ford's enormous headroom and driving comfort stand out in particular. In addition, especially the novel solutions of shower, bathroom and sleeping area are a real pro-argument for a Globetrail on Ford.

ECO NEWS: BMW and TYDE team up for a 15m/48ft hydrofoiling yacht ⚡️🔋🔌
I'm sure you saw the original concept between the two at Cannes Yachting Festival, however, in an exciting announcement the electric boating brand 'TYDE' has firmed up its second launch with BMW - 'TYDE OPEN'.
The 'OPEN' is a large hydrofoiling electric luxury yacht. Using 80% less energy thanks to the foils, this thing is set to excite those who're passionate about the sector. The builder says the boat can 'fly' above water, as well as waves and swells.
She has berthing for two + a head and shower. In terms of power, the drive train will be similar to 'ICON' (their first build), a 400kWh bank of BMW i3 batteries. My concern as I'm sure it is everyone else's, is range... They're estimating 50nm at 25-knots.
What's your thoughts? Are you excited to see these kinds of vessels here in Australia? Comment below👇🏼

Boat values are currently dropping from the record highs that we saw in the last couple of years. There’s lots of boats still priced at last year’s level, but they’re not selling. There’s more choice for buyers now than there was 12 months ago, so you don’t need to overpay. We’re working hard to make sure that our boats are priced at the right level, to take the hassle out of long winded negotiations and give you a better idea of current real world selling prices.
This ‘as new’ 2023 Axopar 28 Twin Engine model is now priced at the right level for the market - at £149,950 for an as-new boat it’s a fantastic deal in my opinion. Available now in Northern Ireland, for sale to UK, Irish or European destinations. 2023 Axopar 28 Aft Cabin Brabus with Twin Mercury 2 x 200HPFull details on our website - https://lnkd.in/e26YtvzG#axopar#axopar28#axoparboats#adventureboating#adventureboat#boat#boating#weekender#summer2024#boatlife#mercury#mercuryoutboards#mercury200#forsale#boatmarket
Given the increasing challenges for cohabitation of faster (electric or not) and slower cyclists in the same linear spaces, it will be interesting to see the outcomes and learnings of this trial by City of Amsterdam:
"Cyclists who want to cycle faster are allowed to use the roadway. The recommended speed on the cycle path is a maximum of 20 km/h. The maximum speed for the road is 30 km/h. Electric bicycles may be electrically assisted up to a maximum of 25 km/h. The temporary traffic rules for the trial are indicated with signs and blue markings,"
