Help us send some #positivity to summer #interns everywhere by sharing a piece of career advice in the comments! 👇 Welcome #TeamUnited interns.💙 We're so happy you chose to spend your #summeratUHG. 👏
Don't try to be perfect. Progress is the name of the game this summer. Be curious, ask questions, meet as many new people as possible and be open to every opportunity that presents itself. We are so glad you are here with us! #summeratUHG
Don't be afraid to speak up and reach out for help because remember, we are all humans and it's okay to make mistakes. The most important thing is to continue learning and growing. You are not alone in this journey, and there are people who care about you and want to support you.
1. Remember that the only bad question is the one you don’t ask. 2. Start building a network right away. 3. Try every experience that you can and keep track of what you like and dislike.
Network, network, network. Don't just meet people, but really get to know them, practice active listening and identify where you can offer value. Build and nourish your network and follow through and follow up.
Don't forget that unless you are uncomfortable you aren't really growing. Don't be scared to try new things, speak up, share innovative ideas or give and receive feedback. When you fail, your attitude is most important. You can see it as a loss or a great opportunity. Stay curious and act like a sponge and absorb everything you can from those willing to share their tips and tricks with you. Everyone has something to teach us! The lessons are not always showing the right way of doing things. 😉 Good luck and congratulations!
Remember to look out for yourself
Focus on Why. You can learn the tools and skills to do a job. But to build a meaningful career, dive deeper and understand how your talent can drive better outcomes.
Try and build one new relationship each week and grow your network! Excited to have you here with us #summeratUHG

1moDo it scared!! Ask the director for a meeting scared, ask your manager a "silly" question scared, do it all even if you're scared! The worst that can happen is you get a no, or no response. The opportunities that can some from one single question or connection are endless. Don't let being scared ever stop you.
