We believe in a world where where people should be valued on their ability to learn new skills more than the last job they had, or what school they went to. To achieve this, it's crucial to acknowledge the various #barriers that can prevent individuals from accessing employment opportunities: Lack of #education and #skills, economic disadvantages, health issues, prejudice, criminal record, lack of #socialcapital , and geographical barriers all prevent individuals from accessing employment opportunities. Yet most introduction roles - the most important opportunities for employees to gain a foothold with employers in the labour market - are focused solely on employment and education history in candidates #resumes. Resumes ignore the barriers preventing some of the best and brightest candidates from getting the time of day with HR. WithYouWithMe addresses barriers to entering the labor market by offering free education, training, and aptitude testing, through the WYWM Academy to equip individuals with the necessary skills and qualifications, effectively negating discrimination. #longpostalert As I complete 6 months today at Scrabble, I am using this small milestone to write my first proper LinkedIn post. Back in Dec 2022, making the decision to move from an established & extremely process-oriented environment to one that is just the opposite, was not an easy one. Although excited, even I had my doubts if I'd be able to cope & I’m still learning to. But looking back on these months, there are a few things that only cemented my decision & proved that this organisation is (not to be dramatic) THE place to be. 1. Radical Candour If there's one place that truly emulates RC - it's Scrabble. Our catch-ups, WhatsApp groups, meetings are always with a healthy mix of appreciation + feedback + respect. No one holds back. 2. Empathy Throughout my ups & downs of a break-up, self-doubt & just overthinking, not once did I feel a lack of support from even a single member of my team. SO to Sohini & Devarshi for being the best!!! 3. Trust My team trusted me & gave me the space I needed to bounce back. Swati once told me: Even if the progress is 0.1% a day, it's perfectly alright. 4. One goal We aren't racing against each other, nor are we focusing on what others are doing outside. We are all racing together rather, & towards one agenda - for Scrabble to grow & succeed. 5. Policing employees is not required We've built a system of ownership & accountability even with this level of freedom, to dictate our own work timings, ways of working & no rigid policies. Yet no one abuses the system. 6. It's okay to make mistakes We have the safety net to fail & learn from it. Even our co-founders & managers have made mistakes, but what differentiates them from others is that they own up to those mistakes. Even they are only human :) Thank you to my awesome co-founders Lakshmi, Naveen, Swati & all my lovely colleagues for building Scrabble just the way it is. I couldn't have felt more at home here. #workanniversary #6months #Scrabble

Adam's journey with Lugg is a testament to personal and professional growth, leveraging his skills to make a significant impact. Reflecting on his time here, Adam shares, "It's given me a platform to practice and expand my own knowledge of SQL, which in turn allowed me to enhance our reporting and helps us to make informed decisions to ensure the best outcome and quality." What Adam loves most about working at Lugg was "The culture. Everyone's always been very friendly and empathetic."
