We were thrilled to attend Cannes Lions 2024 with our incredible clients this year. The event was a vibrant celebration of creativity, innovation, and the future of marketing and entertainment. Dan Weinstein, Austin Mayster, and AJ Nubla accompanied clients Alan Chikin Chow, Ian Boggz, Steven He, and Phaith Montoya, who were all invited guests.
We asked Austin, who is a Partner and Co-Head of our Entertainment Division, for some key takeaways from his time at Cannes, and this is what he had to say:
“This year, Cannes saw more creators in attendance than ever before, and they were more than just attendees, many creators were invited by brands and platforms, and appeared on panels and activations across the festival. It was fantastic seeing just how much brands and marketers are leaning in and embracing creators as essential parts of their businesses.
AI was another buzzy topic and it is here in a big way. From creative ideation, copywriting, editing, to AI driven ad targeting and delivery, there are a lot of exciting AI advancements for marketers to leverage. However, the human touch remains crucial for the success of these projects. AI should be a tool in creative’s arsenals, not a replacement for them.”
Austin’s insights are particularly relevant to us as representatives in the creator space. We're eager to integrate AI while maintaining the essential personal connection. We’re also perfectly positioned to set our clients up for success in this creator boom.
The future of marketing is bright, and we’re ready to embrace it.
