We recently hosted our third annual HBCU Career Combine, welcoming 17 students from all 13 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) schools to our Baltimore Headquarters for an immersive leadership and career development experience. In her latest post, our Sr. Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Ashley Brown shares more about our commitment to sourcing talent from HBCUs and details from this year's combine.

Under Armour is honored to celebrate our global run athletes who earned their spots to compete on the track at the Paris 2024 Olympics! Congratulations to Matt Wilkinson and Weini Kelati (USA), Regan Yee (CAN), Edose Ibadan (NGR), Susan Ejore and Edwin Kurgat (KEN), Lauren Ryan (AUS), Neil Gourley (UK), and Ahmed Jaziri (TUN) all of whom punched their ticket to Paris after competing in various qualifying races over the past few weeks. Also just announced, Sharon Lokedi will head to her first Olympic Games to run the women’s marathon in place of her Kenya teammate who withdrew due to injury concerns. We look forward to cheering on our athletes across the finish line in Paris! These announcements come off the heels of our other UA Mission Run qualifiers last week where the brand hosted media, influencers, and partners at our Under Armour Hospitality House - just steps away from Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. At this event, they got to experience how an Under Armour athlete prepares to compete and learned about our latest footwear technology and our newest run shoe, the UA Velociti Pro. At our EMEA HQ, teammates had a very special visit with AC Milan’s Malick Thiaw. Malick visited our Amsterdam office to learn about our product innovations and upcoming campaigns. He also participated in a fireside chat, moderated by Kevin Ross, Managing Director, EMEA, where teammates were able to learn more about his journey on and off the pitch. The whole sqUAd will be cheering on Malick next season! #ProtectThisHouse

Under Armour is proud to support the Department of Defense #WarriorGames2024 for our seventh year. The Warrior Games are an adaptive-sports competition, highlighting the physical skills and mental toughness of wounded, ill, and injured active-duty and veteran service members, with over 200 participants at Disney Sports/ESPN Wide World of Sports. At Under Armour, we are committed to positively impacting active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. #UnderArmour teamed up with Jayde Riviere, Manchester United and Canadian national team player, to host an immersive training experience for the next generation of female #soccer players. We hosted a clinic at Jayde’s home Pickering Football Club (PFC) and provided an opportunity for young athletes to train alongside Jayde and learn what it takes to compete on the international stage. The on-field experience featured an elite training session designed by Jayde’s former PFC coach to enhance participants' skills and knowledge of the game. Off-field, the athletes had a chance to hear about Jayde's journey and ask her questions in a fireside chat hosted by sportscaster Kate Beirness. https://lnkd.in/ecxM_STT

🏀 Curry Brand signs Keisei Tominaga as First International Athlete 🏀 Professional Japanese Guard Keisei Tominaga made quite a splash as a breakout star on the NCAA #basketball scene this past season. In his senior year as a guard for the University of Nebraska men’s basketball team, Tominaga earned second team All-Big Ten honors, was the leading scorer averaging north of 15 points per game, and won this year’s college 3-Point Championship contest. His basketball journey began in #Japan where he was a standout high school player and was tapped multiple times to represent his country in international competition and most recently competed for Japan in 3x3 Basketball in the Tokyo Olympics. As the first international athlete to sign with Curry Brand, Tominaga will wear #Curry Brand footwear and apparel on the court as he enters this next stage in his basketball career. To kickoff #Pride Month festivities, the #UnderArmour LGBTQIA+ Teammate Resource Group, UNIFIED, has curated a series of activities for members and allies to gather and celebrate as one community. Last week, our teammates heard from three inspiring LGBTQIA+ Under Armour collegiate athletes during a panel moderated by Unified leaders. This was followed by an evening of mingling, music, and shopping the ’24 Pride Collection at our Baltimore Brand House. We were thrilled to gather as a community to uplift LGBTQIA+ teammate and athlete voices, and look forward to many more moments to come together throughout Pride Month and the rest of the year to support and celebrate our teammates.
