A report released by the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) shows that the United States will need to build an additional 4.3 million apartments by 2035, with 600,000 units already needed at present. Keeping up with the main market trends, Sagewood is investing in the multifamily segment through the IQ Concept brand, which consists of: IQ Loft - a multifamily project where the units in the five buildings that make up the development will be rented and only offered for sale after five years; IQ Mix - a commercial building focused on the sale of its units; IQ Lux - a condominium of high-end apartments with 34 units spread over 6 floors. Over 1.2 million apartments were built in the U.S. from 2020 to 2022, with another 460,860 units planned for 2023. However, nearly two-thirds of these units are concentrated in a handful of fast-growing metropolitan areas. According to a new report from RENTCafé, the Phoenix metro area ranked No. 12 in the country for new construction during the pandemic era, adding 28,039 units to the rental market. When it comes to individual cities, however, Phoenix ranked slightly lower at No. 15. The city added 10,132 units between 2020 and 2022. #phoenixrealestate #arizonarealestate #realestate

In the 1940's, the US had a housing boom that stretched around the world. Designers and home builders got together to form the NAHB. They have been a good influence for green potential and building houses. It was 20 years after the BREEAM green home certification release that the NAHB created NAHGB and Home Innovation Labs. The USGBC was based on BREEAM and Green Globes, both created years before any US organized green home programs. Energy Star homes started in 1998 and now are in 147 countries since it's inception. Over the past twenty years, there are over 200 different kinds of green certified homes in the US. More than 500 around the world.
