We were recently joined by MD Reshma Sheikh and Corporate Relationship Manager Priyanka Chaudhary from MSDUK to update our London team on the progress they have been making in raising awareness and driving business towards Ethnic Minority-owned companies in the UK. As a long-standing member of MSDUK, we are proud to be actively seeking ways to improve our working practices, ensuring they are ethical and transparent. We are committed to supporting diversity and inclusion, self-auditing to create fair opportunities both within our organisation and throughout our supply chain. Ethnic Minority-owned businesses contribute approximately £25 billion per year to the UK economy and are often more likely to innovate and export than their non-minority counterparts. With 17% of Ethnic Minority-owned businesses engaged in exporting compared to 10% of all SMEs. Despite their significant contributions, Ethnic Minority-owned businesses often face unique challenges, including access to finance and broader market opportunities. We are committed to supporting these businesses and fostering an inclusive environment where all business owners can thrive. A big thank you to MSDUK for helping us on this journey and for coming to meet our team. Elaine Pearce MCIPD

Strategic Leader | Sales & Leadership Expert | Customer Experience Innovator | Growth Catalyst | I help empower teams for revenue & thriving environments
On this bright UK Friday, amidst recent challenges, I want to share a message of resilience & empowerment, especially to those who this weekend anticipated an out of this world recognition trip to South Africa, only to find the expected payoff elusive & even if received, inadequate. But despite these setbacks, remember: YOU have achieved! Your skills, perseverance, & dedication stand as a testament to your capabilities. No one can diminish the value of your talents & expertise. Direct Selling/Network Marketing holds a special place in my heart, particularly for the opportunities it offers to women. The inspiring energy fostered by women in this space resonates deeply within communities & for future generations to come. It's about empowering women to align with their values, utilize their talents, & leave a lasting legacy. Even with the official business chapter of TBSAH closing (with hopes for @thebodyshop's alignment to come back), the growth & skills you've gained continue to fuel entrepreneurship & positive impact. To all former TBSAH members: 💜 You contributed to building a collective force, & I'm immensely grateful to have then been part of it & to have supported your leadership. 💜 YOU went big despite the challenges of Covid. 💜 Your efforts made a tangible difference & reflect your admirable commitment to goodness & integrity. I won't go there with the buy out/administration wrongdoings! But despite hurdles & uncertainties, seeing former colleagues find new positions is heartening, a testament to your resilience & invaluable skills 👏💜. So as we embrace this Friday's positive energy, let's hold our heads high, draw strength from one another, & move forward with hope & determination. Here's to brighter days ahead & the endless possibilities that await. #Virtualhug #PositivityWins #RiseAndShine #EmpowermentJourney #YouGotThis #TheBestIsYetToCome

🚨 Addressing the Issue of Blackcladding in Australia’s Indigenous Business Sector 🚨 It’s crucial that we raise awareness around the alarming issue of “Blackcladding,” which is detrimentally impacting the Indigenous business sector in Australia. Blackcladding refers to the practice of non-Indigenous companies pretending to be Indigenous to secure contracts and benefits, thereby causing genuine Indigenous businesses to lose out on valuable opportunities. Often the entity may have an Indigenous owner who has no involvement in the day-to-day operations of the businesses and is merely a cover for a non-Indigenous company to benefit from Indigenous procurement targets. For organisations wishing to engage with Indigenous businesses, it is paramount to ask probing questions to ensure collaboration with legitimately Indigenous majority-owned, managed, and controlled organisations. It is about working with entities where genuine Indigenous management has actual control over an organisation's operations and decisions. 📍 Here’s How to Ensure Genuine Engagement: 1. Due Diligence: Regularly conduct stringent and thorough background checks on prospective Indigenous business partners. 2. Ask Critical Questions: Inquire about ownership, management structure, control, and the involvement of Indigenous people in the day-to-day operations of the businesses. 3. Be Inquisitive about Business Operations: Seek to understand how the businesses operate, their impact on Indigenous communities, and their contribution to Indigenous empowerment. 📌 Challenge and Innovate: Organisations need to challenge themselves to avoid easy wins and the comfort of following the herd by engaging the same Indigenous suppliers as other large firms. There’s a grave risk that such widespread, unexamined acceptance may inadvertently support blackcladding entities and undermine genuine Indigenous businesses. 🌿 Promote Authentic Indigenous Engagement: Let's foster an environment where true Indigenous businesses flourish. Let's be diligent, promote authenticity, and support legitimate Indigenous businesses, contributing to their empowerment, growth, and the overall prosperity of Indigenous communities. By doing so, we can ensure that the benefits intended for Indigenous Australians reach them and drive the societal change we wish to see.

As we look to the future of South Africa's economy, BBBEE verification will play a pivotal role in shaping a more equitable society. By embracing BBBEE principles, businesses can contribute to the creation of opportunities for historically disadvantaged individuals and communities. But what does the future hold for BBBEE? We believe it lies in: - Enhanced technology for streamlined verification processes. - Greater emphasis on sustainable, impactful empowerment initiatives. - Collaborative efforts between government and the private sector. BBBEE verification is not just about compliance, but about leading the charge towards a brighter, more inclusive future. #BBBEEFuture #EconomicEquality #Leadership #DynamiqueVerifications

CURRENT SOLUTIONS' (PTY Ltd) official public report on companies' practices for 2023. Businesses Taking A Darker Turn In YEAR 2023. Like blood diamonds continue to outshine all the dirt that is being practiced by their organisations that have a gleam like the sun when driving its starving economy with startling public statements and fantastic imagery, the same attitude is being implied by Institutions with highly expected integrity and trust. Companies and organisations are operating like some mafia type organisations lately; positive outcomes for the company are enforced by illegal means and practices. Sadly, to the Companies' Management Solutions teams, it is business as usual. Winfred Oppong-Amoako's HOW TO SUCCED IN THE AFRICAN MARKET - 'A Guide for the 2020s for Businesspeople and Investors' shares how Business Advising is critical for Africa's economic growth, together with the "Four Sectors of Education That Will Drive & Sustain Africa's Economic Growth". Year 2023 has presented us with many opportunities to help us see the bigger issues that stifle the economy of South Africa from improving and how the state of the economy is being mismanaged in different levels of structure in organisations. Companies & Organisations/ Entities have equipped themselves with Thugs/Organised Crime for brand protection and goals. Organisations' occupants are equipped with Thugs for Job Protection and form cults within the organisation to influence few or many of the organisations' decisions. Top Management, Special Interests groups, Foreign Trade and Investors have shown their disinterest in improving black people's lives or jobs in the Republic of South Africa. Black People's skills and brands are still widely undermined in the country and more urban areas or locations that are mostly populated by black people are warming up to be dangerously heated civil war zones. Departments that are mostly populated by black people continue to be blind-sided and insufficiently equipped and undermined. Black People's wages in labour are strategically low to drive a slave-mentality in many black people who work to feed their families. White supremacy ideals have surfaced in many organisations in the country, including educational institutions, and the term 'White Money is In Control' has led some to view that South Africa is taking a sharp turn towards oblivion of its horrid past. What solutions does CURRENT SOLUTIONS (PTY Ltd) have for these very deep problems? We look forward to the year 2024. Chief Executive Officer at BLACK ENIGMA | Partnering with Business Owners & Thought Leaders to Boost Revenues with Custom Strategic Roadmaps
In today's competitive market, we often hear about the importance of diversity and inclusion, yet many disadvantaged and HUBZone businesses still struggle to access procurement opportunities at local, state, and federal levels. I've seen firsthand the immense talent and potential within these communities. But here's the controversial question: Are we really doing enough to support them? Despite various initiatives and programs, the playing field remains uneven. Large corporations dominate contracts while smaller, capable businesses are left fighting for scraps. Is it time to re-evaluate our procurement processes and policies? What steps can we take to ensure true equity in government contracting? How can we better support these businesses to not just survive, but thrive? I invite you to share your thoughts and experiences. Let's discuss solutions, not just problems. Your insights could make a real difference. #Diversity #Inclusion #Procurement #SmallBusiness #SDVOSB #HUBZone
