This data point itself is Sufficient to understand growing needs of specialized products and service providers and limitation of large companies to serve all. As the economy progresses towards mid income country , Love for anything big will Vanish and Tech based financial solutions will be in forefront barring exception of Corporate lending and housing finance. Do note , every big state of USA is having 10-12 big banks /insurance companies. As per the reserch done by ICICIdirect , in one of the top private sector bank, attrition rate is as high as 51%. For most of the banks, attrition ratio is 35 to 45%. What could be the reason for such high attrition? See, retail banking roles are challenging with long working hours, target pressure is very high. Rude and insulting behaviour of supervisors is a regular management practice. There are also factors related to training and culture issue, as higher atrirtion leads to mass hiring , many times focus on training is missing. Is there any solution to this issue? In my view, Most of the entry level jobs are taken up by GenZ, now for banks its important to understand the psychology of GenZ , they are different than previous generations. Banks needs to improve work-life balance of emoyees , and value their personal life. Provide faster career growth opportunities, especially for people in the junior bands. Whats your view?
